New Technology May Make You a Candidate for Contact Lenses
Technological advances have affected many areas of medical care, and contact lenses are no exception. New lens materials, designs and fitting techniques now allow many patients who have been previously told they couldn’t wear contacts to do so. Patients with high astigmatism, presbyopia and irregular corneas can now often be routinely fit with contact lenses that safely and comfortably correct their vision. Patients who would like to wear contacts but have been told in the past they were not good candidates should ask their eye doctor if contacts may now be an option for them.
