Dr. Poirier opened his Knightdale office in 1997. He saw that the eye care needs of the area weren’t adequately served, and, as a result, he identified the opportunity to open an office in the community where he lived. His focus was to bring to the growing local Knightdale population comprehensive routine care and make available the newest diagnostic instrumentation and clinical resources. By 2002, he had outgrown his original location and moved to a new and larger space on McKnight Drive, where the practice would continue to thrive with the community. It is in the Knightdale location, where all the doctors host the annual Give Back Day, during which the team provides free eye care to the community.

In 2016, Dr. Palo partnered with Dr. Poirier, and the two again expanded the practice. The new office, designed by Dr. Palo, will continue to grow with Knightdale’s booming community. It provided room for associate doctors, the latest diagnostic equipment, finishing lab, and procedural rooms.
