SERVICES
Serving the Wake Forest community since 1995, Dr. Dan Yoakum opened his private practice at Heritage in 2005 with a vision to deliver personalized, patient-focused eye care. As a long-time resident of Wake Forest, Dr. Yoakum recognized the area’s rapid growth and the need for an independent optometric practice that emphasizes quality, comfort, and individualized attention.
At our Heritage location, our doctors take the time to understand each patient’s unique visual and ocular health needs. Rather than rushing through appointments, we focus on providing accurate diagnoses, precise prescriptions for glasses and contact lenses, and personalized guidance in selecting high-quality, distinctive eyewear. Our commitment is to deliver exceptional care in a welcoming environment where patients feel seen, heard, and truly cared for.
In 2019, with the practice experiencing significant growth, Dr. Aleshia Luu joined the team. As the community and practice have expanded, Drs. Yoakum and Luu, along with their dedicated team, remain committed to their mission: providing exceptional eye care services with passion and expertise. By utilizing the most advanced state-of-the-art diagnostic technology and eye care products available, we are committed to educating our patients and delivering personalized service to the people of the Wake Forest area. Visit us at Rogers Road, where you’ll find a professional team that prides itself in being the friendliest and most hospitable optometry clinic in Wake Forest.

My boyfriend had surgery on his hand and after he woke up from the surgery he complained of eye pain in his left eye. After talking with the doctor, he said go see an ophthalmologist. So I called my trusted ophthalmologist and they were able to get my boyfriend in right away. Dr Luu told my boyfriend that his eyes were not taped all the way during his 2 hour surgery which made his eye in that area very dry. She said it looked like a razor cut.
We appreciate all of you for all you did for us today. You are the best ophthalmologist I have ever been to!
You have the options of getting all your glasses there. Billing occurs with ease. The doctor I saw was a wonderful and pleasant surprise. Puts family back in family practice.
