Drs. Poirier and Palo came upon an opportunity in 2018 to acquire a practice in one of the most established areas of Raleigh. Located at the Colonnade Center off Six Forks Road and adjacent to the Whole Foods Market, it was ideal for creating the next Eye Institute practice. Along with a great location, doctor, and staff, TEI brings a tremendous collection of independent eyewear brands to meet the needs of all patients, whether they’re seeking functional eyewear or distinctive collections from independent boutique designers.

They are genuinely caring professionals who have expertise and knowledge to help address any eye issues you have. I needed help with my contacts and they saw me the same day. I really love and appreciate the convenience as well. Beautiful office environment too!

Great experience. First time using Sceleral contact lens and all anxiety was eased and walked me through and explained everything. Great fit and process. Very Pleased!!!!

Andrew was fantastic - they managed to squeeze me in last minute when I called for a day of appointment. Not only did he explain everything thoroughly but found time later in the day to do a separate vision test. He fixed an erroneous prescription from another eye doctor. Highly recommend

Totally satisfied with the service and care I receive from The Eye Institute. Everyone (Dr. Andrew, technicians and front end staff) treats me politely, pleasantly and professionally. The equipment is state-of-the-art and the way I’m informed about test results and a game plan to handle my optical health going forward is clear and easy to understand.

Thank you Dr Halton and Mikela for taking such good care of me yesterday! These people are the real deal when it comes to warmth and kindness and professionalism. Without a bit of hesitation they jumped in with the process already started by their equally fabulous partner in their Seaboard Station location. An extra machine was needed to do some tests so I was sent to them. Between the group of them they could not have made me feel any more comfortable and cared for with a situation I wasn’t expecting going into my visit. You will not be disappointed by the service and expertise you experience from the great people at The Eye Institute!
